ARE YOU A STRONG PROJECT ESTIMATOR ESTIMATOR (Lead, I, II, III) /PROJECT MANAGER?
Are you someone who “knows” Mechanical Systems…Meaning, you have the “basic knowledge“ of how the systems work & tie together?
Do you enjoy working on 1st class projects of varying size and scope?
Are getting bored doing the same thing day-in and day-out at your current firm and would like new, high end, exciting and challenging projects?
Are you a self-motivated team player with a positive attitude?
Are you a Mechanical Engineer or Electrical engineer comfortable working with mechanical contractors on their control groups and mechanical/electrical construction projects?
Do you have project experience on general construction projects?
+ Prepare estimates for electrical construction projects.
+ Work independently while also collaborating in a team environment
+ Working with the internal team, vendors, subcontractors and clients on a variety of 1st class control projects on Oahu
+ Successfully tackle a broad range of electrical construction and design/build projects
+ Remain responsive to client during proposal effort
+ Complete turnover Process
+ Generate detailed and accurate take off, BOM, proposals.
+ Read, understand proposal specifications and construction plans.
+ Be able to take off electrical equipment, components, devices, attachments methods, pathways and enter into estimating software.
+Communicate with vendors for material and equipment pricing, and quotes.
+ Accurately turnover the project to the construction team
+ Project types may include;
electrical construction for industrial plants, petrochemical plants, power generation plants, governmental and military facilities, commercial buildings, hotels, medical facilities, co-gen systems, and industrial and commercial controls. We have performed work on private, Federal, State, and City projects
+ Handles process and energy management systems for all types of facilities, including
power plants, wastewater facilities, refineries, hotels, and high-rises
+ Assist and manage the entire control project, from design through final installation and testing
+ work closely with mechanical contractors on projects to ensure a fully-integrated system
+ Work closely with seasoned professional engineers on staff, AutoCad® experts and top-notch project management
+ Maintain Quality and accuracy of estimating take-off Use of Conest estimating software
+ Completes estimating assignments on time
The CONTROLS DIVISION:
Our Main Business is DDC Controls Installations for Mechanical Contractors in Hawaii (All Islands).
We also do other Electrical work including – SCADA Controls, Photovoltaic, High Voltage, Switch Gear…
Your job will be to assist with:
+ Estimating Jobs
95% Mechanical Systems
5% Electrical, PV, SCADA etc.
(Interpreting Drawings / Specifications)
+ Project Engineering
Field Support (Assisting the Field)
Office Support (Drawings, Contracts, Submittals, Material, RFI’s)
+ Attend construction meetings.
WHAT A PERFECT FIT LOOKS LIKE;
+ You have 5+ years of successful experience
+ Your experience is rooted in Project Estimation Electrical Construction, General Construction and Electrical Services
+ You have a Bachelor of Science degree
+ Electrical construction background and electrical services background
+ You possess financial management skills including proposal preparation and project budget management, the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
+ You may have experience in working with City and County of Honolulu, State of Hawaii and Federal agencies
+ You have strong verbal and written communication skills and can multitask working on varying projects
+ You are familiar with and have an aptitude with MS Office, MS Outlook, MS Project, Conest, AutoCAD, Revit, Acrobat and Bluebeam
+ PE or EE is preferred
+ Currently hold a driver’s license
+ You utilize communication skills to leverage relationships
+ You are passionate about Engineering and Project Estimation/Management and enjoy working with the latest technology and advanced techniques
+You are a self-motivated team player with a positive attitude
+ You understand the value of communication and interpersonal skills
