What you'll do

The Onsite Audiovisual Support Specialist will work in partnership with the Customer, management team, Global Helpdesk, and Installation teams to provide on premises support for their customers at customer site(s) with the end goals of delivering a world-class Customer Service experience. 

 

Day-To-Day Responsibilities:

  • Assistance with client events.
  •  Perform preventative maintenance tasks to help maintain customer spaces including but not limited to: ensuring that all technology works as designed and testing/repairing various hardware components.
  • Responsible for job site documentation and providing client training on the AV Technology as needed.
  • Perform support tasks in a timely and quality conscious manner including but not limited to: meeting support, installing non-complex AV components, and video/audio recording support where applicable.
  • Collaborate with internal/external teams in a professional manner that reflects the values of our partner.
  • Understand and adhere to local safety standards for all site duties.
  •  Setup, operate and troubleshoot various audio/video systems.
  • Travel to various job sites as required (Will be discussed beforehand if applicable).

 

Items to Consider:

  • Our client reserves the right to alter work hours and work location if necessary. Work hours may vary based on client requirements and may include travel to various locations in support of the account (it will be discussed beforehand).
  • The Audiovisual Support Specialist will generally work on customer sites and may deal with a construction site type of work environment.

 

What we're looking for

Must-Haves:

  • Ability to effectively communicate with employees, customers and colleagues with great interpersonal skills.
  • Great customer service skills and proactivity.
  • Thriving at taking ownership of their position and removing worries from executives or collegues mind.
  • Ability to use hand and power tools in a safe and efficient manner including soldering & crimping connectors.
  • Ability to work and think independently and ensuring to meet deadlines.
  • Intermediate computer knowledge.
  • Knowledge of basic signal flow for audio, video and control.
  • Valid Driver’s License and a Motor Vehicle Record that meets our client driving standards.
  • Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 1 – 3 years of audiovisual integration experience preferred.

 

Nice-To-Haves:

  • Formal education in Electronics or related field preferred
  • Preferred external training:

o   AMX Intro to Networking for AV Professionals

o   Crestron Professional Installation

o   Exton AV Associate Certification

o   AVIXA Quick Start to the Audio-Visual Industry

o   AVIXA CTS General Certification
